H.W. Perry Jr., associate professor of law and government, was honored with the Wadsworth Publishing Award in Political Science for his 1991 book, "Deciding to Decide: Agenda Setting in the United States Supreme Court." The award is given annually for a book or journal article, 10 years or older, that has made a lasting impression on the field of law and courts. A specialist in constitutional and public law, Perry is also co-author of "Civil Liberties and the Constitution" and various articles. He is working on a study of decision-making in the U.S. Department of Justice.
