University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Chancellor Holden Thorp, speaks highly of Intellectual Entrepreneurship (IE) as a way for research universities to reach their full potential. IE is an initiative in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin.

According to Thorp, complex problems call for an interdisciplinary approach, bringing diverse ideas and perspectives to the table -- just as IE does at the university.
