Dr. Kockelman is a faculty member and researcher associated with the Center for Transportation Research at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research includes a variety of transportation-related data analysis subjects, such as: pedestrian safety, travel behavior modeling, transport data analysis, urban transport policy, roadway safety, the connection between urban form and travel, among others. She is primary and co-author of over 110 papers across a variety of transportation-related data analysis subjects.

Dr. Jane Maxwell

Dr. Maxwell is funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism to study drivers impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. She has authored papers on the characteristics of these drivers and her current study will look at their personal characteristics (employment, substance use, mental health problems) in comparison to their driving records. Dr. Maxwell is a long-time member of the National Institute on Drug Abuse’s Community Epidemiology Work Group, and she has expertise in a wide range of drugs from heroin and cocaine to the new synthetic drugs, and she monitors drug trends in Texas, in the US, and around the world.
