Briscoe Center Opens "Always Hitting a Nerve," Exhibit of Ben Sargent's Cartoons

"Always Hitting a Nerve: Editorial Cartoons by Ben Sargent," a retrospective exhibit of the 1982 Pulitzer Prize-winning Austin American-Statesman cartoonist's 35-year career, opens April 20 at the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History. The exhibit is drawn from the Ben Sargent Collection, which Sargent and the Austin American Statesman donated to the Briscoe Center.

Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism Director Receives 2010 DeWitt Carter Reddick Award

Tom Rosenstiel, director of the Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism, is the recipient of the 2010 DeWitt Carter Reddick Award, recognizing outstanding people in the field of communication. It is one of the highest honors given by The University of Texas at Austin College of Communication.
