Event: The University of Texas at Austin Graduate School and the James A. Michener Center for Writers host “No Snakes in This Grass,” a one-act play by James Magnuson, director of the Michener Center for Writers.
When: Thursday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 19 at noon
Where: LBJ School patio (Thursday) and Ransom Center plaza (Friday)
Background: This classic one-act play, originally written for Harlem street theatre in the 1960s, will be performed twice on The University of Texas at Austin campus. The Thursday evening performance will be followed by a panel discussion. The play was performed last summer at Lincoln Center Out of Doors to celebrate the center’s 40th anniversary.
