President Gregory L. Fenves will deliver his second State of the University address. Fenves will outline his vision for the coming year at UT Austin.

WHO MAY ATTEND: The event is open to the public. All members of the UT Austin community are invited.

BROADCASTS AND ONLINE VIEWING: The president’s State of the University address will be broadcast live starting at 2:55 p.m. on the Longhorn Network and at http://president.utexas.edu/state-of-the-university-address. A captioned live stream will be available at www.ustream.tv/channel/utaustin-cc. Other media are also invited to broadcast or livestream all or portions of the speech.

BACKGROUND: When he was inaugurated last year as the 29th president of The University of Texas at Austin, Fenves laid out a vision of advancing the university by educating leaders, accelerating research productivity and transforming health care. In his second State of the University address, the president will update the UT Austin community on progress in these areas while expanding and building on the vision. He will describe new programs and initiatives in support of the university’s mission and vision.
