The University of Texas at Austin ranks No. 31 on MONEY Magazine’s 2017 list of the “Best Colleges for Your Money.”
UT Austin is No. 18 among public universities.
MONEY ranked 711 schools based on 27 measures of educational quality, affordability and alumni success to determine what schools offer the best return on investment.
MONEY noted the biggest change to this year’s methodology was the addition of data on schools’ track records of moving low-income students into the upper middle class.
Data was compiled for the ranking from the U.S. Department of Education, Peterson’s, PayScale.com and MONEY/College Measures calculations.
Texas A&M University (No. 34) is the other public Texas university to make the top 100.
The university was also recognized this year as the No. 13 best value college by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and the No. 20 best value public university by Forbes.
