Psychology Assistant Professor Chris Beevers earned a three-year, $900,000 grant from the National Institute of Mental Health to study genetic associations with cognitive vulnerability to depression. Beevers' primary research interest focuses on the cognitive etiology and treatment of major unipolar depression. He believes understanding normal cognitive processes provides an important foundation for identifying how these processes go awry in clinical depression.
