Hogg Foundation director honored for work

King Davis, executive director of the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health, has been selected by the Texas Psychological Association (TPA) for the 2007 Outstanding Public Contribution to Psychology Award in recognition of his dedication to and influence in Texas mental health policy

King Davis, executive director of the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health, has been selected by the Texas Psychological Association (TPA) for the 2007 Outstanding Public Contribution to Psychology Award in recognition of his dedication to and influence in Texas mental health policy and service delivery. As the American Psychological Association’s state affiliate, TPA works to advance psychology as a science and profession and as a means of promoting health, education and human welfare. The organization annually recognizes Texans who have made exceptional contributions to the field of psychology. Davis has been the Hogg Foundation’s executive director since 2003. He also holds the Robert Lee Sutherland Endowed Chair in Mental Health and Social Policy in the School of Social Work.
