Libraries Programs Help Students with Fall “Crunch”

The University of Texas Libraries will host “Crunch Time” from Nov. 18-20 at the Perry-Castañeda Library (PCL) to raise awareness of beneficial resources and services which are available at the point of need during the pressure-filled final weeks of the semester, as well as the rest of the year.

The University of Texas Libraries will host “Crunch Time” from Nov. 18-20 at the Perry-Castañeda Library (PCL) to raise awareness of beneficial resources and services which are available at the point of need during the pressure-filled final weeks of the semester, as well as the rest of the year.

Students tend to rely on the PCL or branch libraries as convenient study spaces, sometimes overlooking the valuable resources available for academic or personal pursuits. As part of “Crunch Time,” PCL Reference and Information Services staff will promote the availability of subject specialist consultations, Ask a Librarian IM and email services, and in-person, drop-by assistance available at the Information and Research Help Desk in PCL and at other branch locations across campus.

“Crunch Time” promotional events will feature giveaways, timesaving information and one-on-one staff assistance, as well as a fun, Web-based informational quiz hosted on all UT Libraries EID workstations which allows participants to enter a prize drawing.
