The Volunteer and Service Learning Center (VSLC), Student Government and the Student Volunteer Board are hosting a moment of solidarity on the West Mall today (Jan. 21) from noon-1 p.m. in support of the Haitian people and those in the Longhorn community who have been personally affected by the crisis. A full schedule of the service can be found on the VSLC blog Longhorns for Haiti.
A campus-wide benefit will be held Friday, Jan. 22 at 5 p.m. at the Gregory Gym Plaza to raise funds for the relief effort in Haiti. Additional activities will take place throughout the day starting at noon at the John L. Warfield Center for African and African American Studies and the Malcolm X Lounge.
Many local, national and international agencies are also accepting donations of time, money and goods for the relief efforts in Haiti.
