Last year, he taught the world to “Learn Excel.”

Now, he “Can’t Stop Exceling.”

The UT Austin professor who made headlines and went viral last year for his in-class performance of a song parodying Justin Bieber’s hit “Love Yourself” is back with a new song spoofing Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”

Clint Tuttle, a professor in the McCombs School of Business, uses a creative teaching technique to liven up a challenging undergraduate business course. He parodies a popular song with lyrics he writes about Microsoft Excel.

“They never think they’re going to like it,” Tuttle says, “but learning advanced modeling in Excel is the one skill that I get more and more thanks for from students who have graduated.”

Watch Professor Tuttle sing about Microsoft Excel in parodies of “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars and “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber.

At the end of every semester, Tuttle shares a new Excel-themed song, to lift the mood for students preparing for final exams. The goal, he says, is for them to keep their eyes on the prize — excelling in the business world.

Tuttle recently discussed the similarities between playing guitar and learning Excel. Watch his interview with McCombs Today to see:
