Free Public Lecture by Hirshhorn Curator of Modern Art Marks Inauguration of Landmarks Public Art Program

Event: A free public lecture by Valerie Fletcher, senior curator of modern art at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., that marks the inauguration of Landmarks, the campus-wide installation of modern and contemporary sculptures from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Fletcher will introduce the Landmarks project and discuss the significance of the Metropolitan pieces in her lecture "What's Past is Prologue; Inaugurating Landmarks with the Metropolitan Sculptures."

Metropolitan Museum of Art Loans Sculptures to The University of Texas at Austin for Public Art Project
