President Faulkner to present State of the University address Tuesday

President Larry R. Faulkner will present his inaugural “State of the University” address during the Academic Convocation on The University of Texas at Austin campus, 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 6).

AUSTIN, Texas –President Larry R. Faulkner will present his inaugural “State of the University” address during the Academic Convocation on The University of Texas at Austin campus, 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 6).

The convocation in the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Concert Hall will signal officially the assumption of Faulkner as the 27th president of UT Austin. It is being held in conjunction with the celebration of the 115th Birthday of UT Austin.

The public is invited to attend the convocation and other anniversary events throughout the day, including a 1:30-3:30 p.m. UTexas@115 Symposium in the Ralph and Ruth McCullough Theatre. During the symposium, UT Austin faculty and alumni will trace the trajectories of UT’s present into UT’s future as they consider what kind of university The University of Texas at Austin will be at its Sesquicentennial in 2033.
