AUSTIN, Texas—The Texas Exes Student Chapter will meet Monday (April 15) to work on a project to encourage about 12,000 graduating seniors to attend The University of Texas at Austin.

The student chapter’s Longhorn Postcard Project involves writing individualized postcards to prospective freshmen who have been accepted to attend the university during the fall 2002 semester.

Monday’s meeting from 6-9 p.m. will be in room 4.108 of the Texas Union. The group also meets in that room to work on the project from 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday (April 18).

Texas Exes Student Chapter has sponsored the Longhorn Postcard Project the past three years. The goal is to personalize the admission process and help recruit top students to the university by helping them to feel welcome.
