Joe McDermott to perform at benefit Sunday for The University of Texas Child Care Center

AUSTIN, Texas—Children’s music composer/singer Joe McDermott will perform Sunday, July 13, at a benefit for the child care center at The University of Texas at Austin.

AUSTIN, Texas—Children’s music composer/singer Joe McDermott will perform Sunday, July 13, at a benefit for the child care center at The University of Texas at Austin.

McDermott, winner of the 2003 Parents Choice Award Silver Honor, will be the featured performer in the event scheduled from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in Smith Auditorium of Congregation Beth Israel, 3901 Shoal Creek Blvd. Mr. G of Opus One Music also will perform.

“The child care center is honored that Mr. McDermott and Mr. G would participate in our event,” said Sandra Briley, director of The University of Texas Child Care Center. “The funds raised will be used to purchase additional classroom materials like science and discovery books and art supplies.”

Tickets will be available at the door for $10 for adults and $5 for children. Snacks and drinks also will be available for purchase.
