Tower will glow orange at University of Texas at Austin’s 123rd spring commencement, Saturday, May 20

The Tower of The University of Texas at Austin will glow bright orange with ’06’ displayed on the sides of the building Saturday night, May 20, during the celebration of the university’s 123rd spring commencement.

After receiving his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, Garza received his doctor of jurisprudence degree in 1983 from Southern Methodist University (SMU) School of Law. In 2001, he received the SMU School of Law’s Distinguished Alumnus Award. Hispanic Business Magazine has twice named him one of its “Top 100 Most Influential Hispanics” and, most recently, Hispanic Magazine named him one of the “25 Most Powerful Hispanics” in the United States. Poder Magazine recently named the ambassador and his wife, president of Tresalia Capital, as among the “10 Most Powerful People in Mexico.”
