Anthony Alofsin, the Roland Gommel Roessner Centennial Professor, has won the Vasari Award for his new book, “When Buildings Speak: Architecture as Language in the Habsburg Empire and its Aftermath, 1867-1933.” Presented by the Dallas Museum of Art, the prestigious award recognizes the best work in art history by a scholar working in Texas. Alofsin previously won the award in 1989.
