Former U.S. Representative and 2006 U.S. Senate candidate Harold Ford Jr., has been appointed the inaugural Barbara Jordan Visiting Professor at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. Ford, a Democrat from Tennessee, will be the keynote speaker for the 12th annual Barbara Jordan Forum on Public Policy in February 2008. As visiting professor, the former four-term congressman will conduct classes for the LBJ School’s American Politics and Policy Seminars, present a public lecture and participate in dialogues on prominent public issues.
