Robert O. Williams III has been named to lead the College of Pharmacy’s Division of Pharmaceutics. He replaces James W. McGinity, professor of pharmaceutics, who will remain in the division to focus on his research and teaching. Williams, the Johnson and Johnson Centennial Professor of Pharmaceutics, has been a member of the faculty since 1995. In his research, Williams focuses on the formulation development, optimization and delivery of small organic compounds, peptides and proteins by a variety of technologies, including depot drug delivery, oral drug delivery and pulmonary/nasal drug delivery.
