Coordinator earns prize for novel

The Association of Writers and Writing Programs awarded Scott Blackwood, program coordinator for the Division of Rhetoric and Writing, a prize for his novel “We Agreed to Meet Just Here,” set in the Deep Eddy neighborhood of Austin. He completed the novel during a Dobie Paisano Fellowship in 2005. Blackwood holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the university and a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from Texas State University
