Jerome D. Williams, the F. J. Heyne Centennial Professor in Communication, received the 2007-2008 University of Texas at Austin College of Communication Teaching Excellence Award at the college’s convocation ceremony on Dec. 8. Williams is a professor in the Department of Advertising. His research interests cover a number of areas in consumer marketing and advertising, with particular emphasis on issues related to multicultural advertising and marketing. He was nominated by his students. Each fall the College of Communication Teaching Excellence Award is given to a full-time faculty member with two years or more of service. Nominations for the award come from students, faculty and administration.
