Michele Rountree, an assistant professor in the School of Social Work, has been selected as a Scholar Mentee for the 2008 African American Mental Health Research Scientist (AAMHRS) Consortium. The goal of the AAMHRS Consortium is to increase the number of African American scholars who receive funding from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). Rountree will be partnered with an experienced NIMH- or National Institutes of Health-funded research scientist who will collaborate with her throughout the grant-writing experience.
