Blanton Museum appoints interim director

Ann Wilson, associate director of the Blanton Museum of Art since May 2004, has been appointed interim director of the museum, effective March 1. Jessie Otto Hite, director of the Blanton, announced in June 2007 her plan to retire. As associate director of the Blanton, Wilson served on the core curriculum development committee for the Museum Studies Portfolio program, now in its pilot stage at the College of Fine Arts. She was appointed peer reviewer for the American Association of Museums in 2007, and is an alumna of the Getty Center’s prestigious Museum Leadership Institute.
