Martha L. Oestreich has been named executive director of development for the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at the university.
“Ms. Oestreich has a wealth of experience in the area of development operations and we are very pleased to have her on board,” said Gregory J. Vincent, vice president for diversity and community engagement and the W.K. Kellogg Professor in Community College Leadership. “I am particularly impressed by the passion she has shown for her work. She truly understands the importance of our mission.”
Her accomplishments include 15 years of marketing experience with IBM and 11 years of development and fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector. Most recently, Oestreich was the director of development for the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
“Martha Oestreich is a wonderful addition to the university’s development community, ” said Vice President for Development Rick Eason. “Her experience and skills will not only serve the objectives of the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement, but the aspirations of The University of Texas at Austin.”
Oestreich will provide strategic direction and oversee development operations for the division. She will design and analyze strategies to use when seeking financial support from individuals, corporations and foundations.
