Vincent Shelby Stanfield, registrar at The University of Texas at Austin, has been appointed an associate vice president for student affairs at the university.
Vice President for Student Affairs Juan Gonzalez said the appointment is effective immediately. He said Stanfield will continue to oversee the Office of the Registrar and the Student Information Systems team responsible for broad-based student services, and will have new responsibility for the Office of Student Financial Services.
“I am quite honored to have the opportunity to continue serving the Division of Student Affairs and the university in this expanded role,” Stanfield said. “I look forward to working closely with the terrific staff in the Office of Student Financial Services.”
Prior to becoming registrar, Stanfield spent six years as director for Student Information Systems. He continues to be involved in collaborative efforts with campus information technology and automation initiatives reliant on student information.
