The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost has awarded four faculty members the Dads’ Association Centennial Teaching Fellowship. Faculty members considered for appointment to these fellowships are engaged in the instruction of freshman undergraduates. Four recipients are awarded each year two faculty members appointed for the fall semester and two for the spring semester. The honorees for the 2008 fall semester are James Pennebaker, the Barbara Pierce Bush Regents Professor in Liberal Arts, and College of Communication Associate Dean Mark Bernstein. Spring 2009 semester honorees are Department of Physics Professor Michael Downer and School of Social Work Associate Dean David Springer. Recipients receive a $3,000 honorarium.
