Staff honored for excellence at annual program

Hundreds of university staff members were honored May 1 at the annual Staff Recognition Awards Program, which celebrates the importance of staff contributions to the success of the university. Staff members were recognized in three categories: staff service, staff excellence and outstanding supervisor. The service award was presented to 809 classified and administrative/professional employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of staff service with the university. The staff excellence award was presented to 30 non-teaching employees and two staff members were honored with the outstanding supervisor award. The awards are given to individuals who have had a significant impact on the university through qualities such as dedication, competence and ingenuity.
