Background: Established in 1970 as an English course in the College of Liberal Arts, Shakespeare at Winedale has grown into a year-round program that reaches communities across the state. Students in the summer program spend two months in the Texas countryside studying and performing three plays in a converted 19th century barn that serves as the theater.
