Event: Press conference preceding the official kickoff of a major fundraising campaign at The University of Texas at Austin. Speakers will be William Powers Jr., president of The University of Texas at Austin, and Kenneth Jastrow, chairman and chief executive officer of Temple-Inland Inc. The campaign kickoff event follows in the ATandT Executive Education and Conference Center ballroom.

News media parking: One special event-parking permit will be issued for each television station to park a microwave/satellite truck in the alley west of the George I. Sanchez Building. Please obtain the permits at the guard station on 21st Street near University Avenue and enter the alley from 21st Street. The permits must be displayed on vehicle dashboards. Parking for smaller news media vehicles is available in the parking garage of the ATandT Executive Education and Conference Center.
