Event: The University of Texas at Austin’s Performing Arts Center will present a free, outdoor screening of “Monty Python and The Holy Grail” in conjunction with the Austin debut of “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” the tree-time Tony Award-winning musical based on the motion picture.
The screening is free and open to the public. There will also be free food, Spamalot-themed games and a chance to win tickets to the musical when it is performed at The University of Texas at Austin’s Performing Arts Center.
When: Wednesday, Dec. 3, 6-7 p.m. free food and games. Movie starts at 7 p.m.
Where: Hillside next to the LBJ Library and Museum fountain, near the intersection of Robert Dedman Drive and 23rd Street. Parking is available at the LBJ Library and Museum parking lots.
Background: Richard Chamberlain will reign as king in the national tour of “Monty Python’s Spamalot.” The Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2005 makes its Austin debut March 10-15 at The University of Texas at Austin Performing Arts Center’s Bass Concert Hall. Tickets to the musical go on sale Thursday, Dec. 4 with tickets starting at $19.50.
