Fong named president-elect for social work organization

Rowena Fong, the Ruby Lee Piester Centennial Professor in Services to Children and Families, in the School of Social Work, has been elected president-elect of the board of the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR).  SSWR, with more than 1,300 members representing some 200 universities and institutions worldwide, is dedicated to the advancement of social work research and works collaboratively with a number of other organizations that are committed to improving support for research among social workers.
