Energy expert sees global benefit in reducing U.S. energy consumption

A report released last week from the consulting firm, McKinsey and Co., outlined the enormous opportunities for reducing energy use in the United States. The country could reap $1.2 trillion in potential savings by 2020, the consultants found, after an initial investment of about $520 billion.
