Welcome to Know, a new Web initiative from the Office of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin.

Know has been created to give you

  1. a more immediate connection to how the university’s missions of teaching, research and service respond to and affect local, national and global concerns;
  2. a new way to experience and interact with relevant and timely content about the university’s faculty, staff, students and alumni;
  3. access to feature stories, opinion pieces, campus events and rich media, such as videos, photo slideshows and more;
  4. and a directory of social media efforts from across campus.

The framework for Know reflects the perspectives of people across the university. Know was created as a collaborative effort among the colleges, schools and units of The University of Texas at Austin. This multidisciplinary partnership has helped build Know based on the interests of our students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Know signals the next step in the university’s evolution to nimble Web communications dedicated to conversation and education. Know will continue to grow and change as your needs change and as the Internet continues to expand.

We want Know to be your destination for fresh information. That’s why you will see daily updates.

The content for Know is fascinating and engaging and it features the voices of faculty, staff, students, alumni and more. Our content is aggregated from the colleges, schools and units across campus to bring you the best and brightest information.

Would you like to share your engaging and fascinating content with Know? Visit the “Send Us Your Content” page here on the Know Web site, and submit your ideas.
