An Honor A Nurse fundraising program, which gives recognition to nurses who have made a difference, will be held at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing during the month of May.

May is National Nurses Month. The Honor A Nurse program supports student scholarships at the School of Nursing. The school will recognize gifts by sending a personalized card to the honored nurses and recognizing them on the school’s Web site, in its electronic newsletter and on the School of Nursing Alumni Network Facebook page.

“By making a tax-deductible gift to the School of Nursing through its Honor A Nurse program, you will not only be supporting student scholarships, but will have the opportunity to honor a nurse who has helped change someone’s life,” said Andria Brannon, director of development for the school.

“Recognizing your nurse honoree is a great way to show appreciation to these men and women who have devoted their lives to caring for us and keeping us healthy. This is your chance to return the kindness that they share every day.”

Gifts can be received until May 26. Contact Lindsey Becker at 512-471-9908 or visit the Honor a Nurse Web site for more information or to make an honorarium.
