The Tower at The University of Texas at Austin will shine orange tonight (May 8) in recognition of the Texas softball team’s Big 12 regular season championship.
The No. 12 softball team claimed the Big 12 Conference title with a 6-0 victory over Baylor University Thursday night (May 6) in Waco, Texas. The win improved the Longhorns to 41-10 on the year and 14-2 in Big 12 play, sealing the title outright and giving UT its first conference championship since 2006.
The softball team returns to action Sunday, May 9, when the Longhorns host nationally ranked Georgia for a two-game series.
