Michael Mogavero Exhibition “Four Letter Words” at the Courtyard Gallery

Associate Professor Michael Mogavero’s “Four Letter Words,” a series of eight oil paintings, will be on exhibition at the Courtyard Gallery from Sept. 9-Jan. 27. There will be a reception for the exhibition Sept. 9. Gallery admission is free and open to the public. The Courtyard Gallery features the artwork of faculty and alumni of the Department of Art and Art History in the College of Fine Arts.

Background: Michael Mogavero is a professor of painting in the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Austin. Public collections of his work include ATandT, The Prudential Insurance Company, the Walker Art Center and the Princeton University Art Museum.

All of the works in the Courtyard Gallery exhibitions are for sale through the gift shop. The Courtyard Gallery is the result of a collaborative effort between the Office of the Vice President for Employee and Campus Services, which is a liaison between the university and the Conference Center and works in partnership with the College of Fine Arts to manage the gallery. Three faculty and alumni exhibitions are shown every year in this space curated by the Visual Arts Center Director Jade Walker.
