Event: The Real Estate Finance and Investment Center (REFIC) at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business is hosting a sustainability panel discussion on the profitability of and economic rationale for sustainable or green real estate. A networking reception will follow the panel discussion.
When: Tuesday, Nov. 9, 4-6 p.m.
Where: The University of Texas at Austin Main Building, Room 212, 2400 Inner Campus Drive
Admission: The panel and reception are open to the public. Tickets are $35 for the public and $15 for students. Registration information is available on the McCombs School’s Web site.
Background: The panel discussion aims to address the question, “does green pay?” R.G. “Jerry” Converse of Fulbright and Jaworski LLP, will moderate the panel, which includes participants from multiple perspectives in the industry including: corporate, investor, developer and design.

REFIC is hosting the event in conjunction with the McCombs School’s Energy Management and Innovation Center, the School of Architecture and the Urban Land Institute of Austin (ULI). The American Planning Association Central Texas Chapter is a supporting sponsor.
