Event: This edition of Art in Practice is presented in conjunction with the course “In and Out of the Studio” taught by Risa Puleo, assistant curator of contemporary art at the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art. The presentation is free, open to the public and offers advice from Seth Randle, an attorney who will speak about copyright laws, intellectual property and protection of one’s artwork.

Background: Art in Practice provides guidance and insight into the professional world to students preparing for careers in the arts. Varying topics of conversation range from a nuts-and-bolts approach to gaining valuable job skills, to broad issues relevant to creative culture as a whole. Led by art administrators, gallerists and artists, these panel talks engage audiences in constructive exchanges about the multifaceted field of contemporary art.
