Centerpiece Theater Screens “Baron Prásil (The Fabulous Baron Munchausen)” at the Visual Arts Center

Event: In conjunction with the senior design exhibition, Centerpiece Theatre presents the 1961 sci-fi/fantasy film, “Baron Prášil (The Fabulous Baron Munchausen)” at the Visual Arts Center (VAC).

Event: In conjunction with the senior design exhibition, Centerpiece Theatre presents the 1961 sci-fi/fantasy film, “Baron Prášil (The Fabulous Baron Munchausen)” at the Visual Arts Center (VAC).

Czech film wizard Karel Zeman used his amazing trademark of mixed-media visual cinematic techniques to bring the fantastic stories of Gottfried August Bürger’s Baron Munchausen to the screen in a way not seen before or since. This screening is free and open to the public.

When: Wednesday, May 11, 7-9 p.m.

Where: Center Space gallery of the Visual Arts Center in the ART building

Background: Centerpiece Theater is a series of films specially curated and screened to complement the exhibitions on view in the VAC’s Center Space gallery. The series is curated and presented by Center Space Project, the student organization of the Visual Arts Center.
