Background: The President’s Office has received many inquiries from alumni, friends, faculty and other members of the university community regarding the event topics. The address will provide an update on these and other issues and provide an opportunity for the president to share his vision for the future of The University of Texas at Austin. These issues affect the recommendations of the Commission of 125, whose initiatives have been funded by the university’s development efforts, and budget and curriculum questions that involve faculty and students.
The president’s address will be to members of the university’s Commission of 125, Development Board, Advisory Council chairs/vice-chairs and Austin area members as well as the Faculty Council, student leadership bodies and the Staff Council Executive Committee.
