Event: The Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), The University of Texas at Austin Department of Computer Science, and the International Game Developers Association–Austin are presenting a first–time event on the future of video games in Austin. The event will open with a lightning round of introductions and prognostications by local luminaries from the university and the local game industry, followed by a showcase of locally produced, boundary–pushing video games played on advanced displays in the TACC Visualization Lab. Appetizers and drinks will be served.
When: 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 25. Media invited. This is an invitation only event.
Where: The University of Texas at Austin, Applied Computational Engineering and Sciences Building (ACE), 24th Street and Speedway. Paid parking is available in the garage at San Jacinto Boulevard and 24th Street.
