College of Fine Arts and Austin Symphony Orchestra Present “Super Sousa Sunday”

Background: The Austin Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet will present a free concert of music by John Philip Sousa. This performance is part of the Austin Symphony Orchestra’s centennial celebration.

Known as “the March King,” Sousa and his band frequently performed in Austin from 1902 to 1928. The concert will include selections from “Stars and Stripes Forever,” “Semper Fidelis,” “The Gladiator” and more.

This free performance is one of the Austin Symphony Orchestra’s Centennial Gifts to the City of Austin.
