DisABILITY Advocate Faculty Program

The faculty program will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Activity Center 2.120. Read for more information and to RSVP.

Disability is part of every aspect of campus life and the disABILITY Advocate Program is designed to help faculty, staff, and students at The University of Texas at Austin develop knowledge and advocacy skills to promote inclusion and access for people with disabilities.

Over 500 students, faculty, and staff have become Advocates on campus and this is your opportunity to get involved!

Knowing how to provide accommodations to students can sometimes be a challenge. The disABILITY Advocate Faculty Training provides an opportunity for education and discussion about how to interact with and accommodate students with disabilities in order to create an understanding and inclusive environment at UT while also balancing the integrity and rigor of academic courses and requirements.

The faculty program will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from 11:30a.m. 1 p.m. in the Student Activity Center 2.120.
