In recognition of the Moody Foundation’s historic endowment, The University of Texas and the Moody College of Communication will host a public reception and ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. on the Walter Cronkite Plaza.
In October the Moody Foundation announced a $50 million commitment to rename the college as the Moody College of Communication. The gift results in the largest endowment for the study of communication at any public university in the nation, and among the largest ever awarded by the Moody Foundation.
Ross Moody, a UT Austin alumnus and foundation trustee, will speak during the ceremony, along with UT President Bill Powers and Dean Roderick P. Hart; they will also be available for additional comments or interview requests.
