The University of Texas Tower will be lit May 5, accompanying a President's Reception to honor C. Grant Willson. Willson is a professor of chemistry and chemical engineering and a winner of the 2013 Japan Prize, an international award similar to the Nobel Prize. He earned the award for his development of a process that is now used to manufacture nearly all of the microprocessors and memory chips in the world.
