Members of the UT community gathered Wednesday evening on the Main Mall to honor Harrison Brown and all victims of the recent attack on campus.

Brown, a first-year student, was a victim of the attack on campus this week. Brown was a beloved member of the UT community, known for making students smile as he sang and shared his love of music across campus.

“I learned that many in Jester East got to know Harrison by hearing his music from a distance, then stopping to listen,” President Gregory L. Fenves said in a message to the UT community. “Harrison sang everywhere — in stairwells, bedrooms and hallways. His voice was magical, and his gifts and talents touched students throughout campus.”

“Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the victims and their families during this very difficult time,” Fenves said. “The Browns have lost a brother and a son, and our entire community will be there to support them.”
