The “Back to School” playlist is inspired by The University of Texas campus and culture. The hourlong mix feels sincere to the Forty Acres and sounds as contemporary and diverse as our student population. The playlist is a modern mix of trap-inspired drums, lo-fi beats, ’80s throwbacks, and guitar-driven tracks. There are some well-known artists like Vampire Weekend, T. Rex, and Big K.R.I.T. to draw you in. As you peel back the layers, there are also some amazing moments of discovery like Austin-natives Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (from the band S U R V I V E), who produce soundtracks for the Netflix sensation “Stranger Things.” We hope you enjoy the listen.
