AUSTIN, Texas — Friends and family of the Longhorn community are invited to gather online to honor the Class of 2020 at The University of Texas at Austin’s 137th Spring Commencement ceremony.
The 2020 graduating class has been resilient throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, finding innovative ways to connect to one another, learn and now celebrate their achievements.
Students are encouraged to tune in with their families Saturday, May 23, for a pre-show at 8:30 p.m. and the live ceremony at 9 p.m. The ceremony will be broadcast by the Longhorn Network at 9 p.m.
Internationally acclaimed researcher and author, UT alumna and McCombs School of Business visiting professor Brené Brown will deliver the keynote address at the virtual ceremony, which will also include a celebratory Tower lighting and live performances.
Brown headlines a group of distinguished leaders across academic disciplines, who will deliver livestreamed graduation speeches for the individual colleges, schools and departments across campus.
