Speakers include Austin entrepreneur and WEL Institute founder Kendra Scott; Sheinelle Jones, co-host of “3rd Hour of TODAY;” Abigail Cook Stone, co-founder & CEO of Otherland; Nastia Liukin, five-time Olympic medalist, entrepreneur, motivational speaker and influencer; and many other powerful women as they offer their wisdom and guidance.

The Women’s Summit is sponsored by Kendra Scott and DWEN (Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network).

WHEN: Noon–7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17.

WHERE: The event will be livestreamed, and guests can register at this link.

WHO MAY ATTEND: The Women’s Summit is tailored to those who identify as women and is open to all.

BACKGROUND: The Women’s Summit programming will be divided into three tracks, and participants can choose the panels most relevant to their needs and interests:

  • Building Community: Creating connections: both within UT and the external startup ecosystem
  • Equipping: Tools, workshops, and curriculum for gaining intentional skills, practice, and internships

Panels will livestream on Nov. 17, and all content will be available on-demand post-summit.

Created in 2019, the WEL Institute is a partnership between The University of Texas at Austin, Kendra Scott and Kendra Scott, LLC. The WEL Institute aims to address the barriers that women may face in business — whether cultural, financial or personal. The WEL Institute works to break down those barriers and clear the path for students by building community and creating connections; equipping students with hands-on tools, skills and experience; and empowering students to become leaders through speakers, role models, visibility, representation and celebration of success. The WEL Institute offers programming and courses, as well as mentorship and internship opportunities for UT students.
